Requests for Bids & Associated Bid Forms
Any request for bids and associated bid forms by an unsuccessful bidder (including subcontractors) pursuant to RCW 39.04.105 should not be submitted via the PRA request process. Please direct such requests to info@cdrpa.org – include the bid opening date/time and project name in the request.
Some Records Exempt from Disclosure
The Public Records Act lists types of documents exempt from public inspection and copying including the disclosure of lists of individuals for commercial purposes.
Cost For Public Records
There is no fee for inspecting public records. The Records Manager will make records available for inspection and copying by appointment during regular business hours, excluding legal holidays. Requestors may not remove documents from the viewing area or disassemble or alter any document.
Black & white copies are $.15 per page. The Regional Port Authority is not required to copy records at its facilities and may determine to use a commercial copying center. The Regional Port Authority will arrange for the commercial copying center to bill the requester directly. In the event the commercial copy center will not charge directly, the copying fees must be paid before records are released. For larger requests, the Regional Port Authority may provide copies in installments.
Mailing charges are the actual cost of postage and shipping container. Copying of any other media will be charged at the actual cost of reproduction (e.g., color copies, blueprints, electronic information provided on a flash drive, etc.).
Payment of fees may be made by cash, check or money order payable to “Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority.”
An estimate of the copy costs will be provided to the requester so that they have the opportunity to decline to have the copies produced. For larger requests, a deposit may be required. The Regional Port Authority may also require the payment of the remainder of the copying costs before providing all the records, or the payment of the costs of copying an installment before providing that installment.
Special Considerations
If a requestor has not reviewed or claimed records within 30 days of notice that records are available or fails to make payment, the Records Manager may close the request. If requested records contain information that may affect the rights of others, before providing the records, the Records Manager or designee may give notice and allow time for action by the other parties. After a request has been filled, if the Records Manager becomes aware of additional documents existing at the time of the request, those will be provided to the requestor on an expedited basis.
